After a wacky Week 1, I am here to predict a hopefully more normal Week 2. I will continue to track my record. All times are Eastern.
Overall Record: 10-6
Thursday Night Football: Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles (-6), 8:15 PM
The Eagles didn't play up the par in their Week 1 win, but still got it done. The Vikings also played under par when they lost to Baker Mayfield and the Bucs. I expect the Eagles to get back to their level while the Vikings' struggles continue.
Score Prediction: Eagles 31, Vikings 20
Sunday Slate:
Las Vegas Raiders at Buffalo Bills (-9.5), 1 PM
Josh Allen had one of his worst games in his career against the Jets, with four turnovers. They play the average Raiders this week and I expect Josh Allen to bounce back in a big way.
Score Prediction: Bills 28, Raiders 14
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5), 1 PM
Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson didn't look like their usual selves in Week 1. I expect both to bounce back in a big way on Sunday. I have Cincinnati in a close one.
Score Prediction: Bengals 24, Ravens 21
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 PM
The Chiefs were without Travis Kelce and Chris Jones, two of their All-Pro players. They get them back this week and I believe that is the difference in this game and what gets them to win.
Score Prediction: Chiefs 31, Jaguars 24
Los Angeles Chargers (-3) vs. Tennessee Titans, 1 PM
The Chargers had a great offensive performance but couldn't stop a nosebleed in their loss to the Dolphins. I don't see that being a problem playing the abysmal Titans offense.
Score Prediction: Chargers 28, Titans 13
Green Bay Packers (-1.5) at Atlanta Falcons, 1 PM
Jordan Love had an impressive debut and the Falcons also got their Week 1 win. I like the Packers roster a little bit more than the Falcons, so give me the Packers.
Score Prediction: Packers 24, Falcons 17
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions (-5.5), 1 PM
I was impressed with the Lions' Week 1 win against the Chiefs, I think they are here to stay. On the other side, I have lost all confidence in the Seahawks after their Week 1 loss against the Rams. Give me the Lions.
Score Prediction: Lions 27, Seahawks 17
Indianapolis Colts (-1) at Houston Texans, 1 PM
Two of the rookie quarterbacks who were picked in the top four in this previous draft face off in this divisional matchup. I was more impressed with Anthony Richardson in Week 1 than C.J. Stroud. Give me the Colts in this matchup.
Score Prediction: Colts 21, Texans 17
Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5), 1 PM
I was a semi-believer in the Bears going into this season. In Week 1, they got steamrolled by the Packers and look to have the same problems they had last year. I was the opposite for the Bucs, as I thought they would be bad this year, but they have the potential to surprise people. Give me the Bucs in this matchup.
Score Prediction: Buccaneers 23, Bears 20
New York Giants (-5.5) at Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 PM
The Cardinals were better than I expected in their opener and the Giants were worse than what I was expecting in the opener. The Giants aren't playing the Cowboys defense this week so I believe they will bounce back.
Score Prediction: Giants 27, Cardinals 13
San Francisco 49ers (-8) at Los Angeles Rams, 4:05 PM
The Rams had an impressive Week 1 against the Seahawks. They now play one of the most impressive teams of Week 1 in the 49ers. The 49ers are better than the Rams in almost every facet. Give me the 49ers.
Score Prediction: 49ers 28, Rams 17
New York Jets at Dallas Cowboys (-9), 4:25 PM
The Jets had the most heart-breaking Week 1, with Aaron Rodgers tearing his Achilles four snaps into the game. They now have to rely on Zach Wilson. After seeing what the Cowboys did to Daniel Jones and the Giants last week, I have no faith in the Jets.
Score Prediction: Cowboys 34, Jets 17
Washington Commanders at Denver Broncos (-3.5), 4:25 PM
Both of these teams were pretty average in Week 1. I was more impressed with the Broncos even though they lost. I believe the Broncos will get in the win column this week.
Score Prediction: Broncos 20, Commanders 17
Sunday Night Football: Miami Dolphins (-2.5) at New England Patriots, 8:20 PM
The Dolphins offense was really impressive in Week 1. I believe that will continue in Week 2, with some difficulty in because the Patriots' defense is amazing. All in all, give me the Dolphins.
Score Prediction: Dolphins 31, Patriots 20
Monday Night Football: New Orleans Saints (-3) at Carolina Panthers, 7:15 PM
I think Bryce Young will continue to struggle in his first prime-time game against the Saints. This game will be close but I am more confident in the Saints.
Score Prediction: Saints 20, Panthers 17
Cleveland Browns (-2.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers, 8:15 PM
The Steelers had an abysmal Week 1 against the 49ers, where I thought they would put up more of a fight. The Browns had an impressive game, especially the defense. I believe the offense will come slowly. I got the Browns in this primetime matchup.
Score Prediction: Browns 27, Steelers 17
